Project: Reconstruction to landslide damage near 430 Black Mountain Road started in early September 2026. Work near 445 Black Mountain Road will start soon.

Duration: Works will take about four months, weather and site conditions permitting.

A single-lane closure will be in place for the duration of construction.

Location: Boreen Point, N4 Amenity Block - Roof Replacement

Project: Contractors will soon commence roof replacement works at the N4 amenities block on Boreen Parade, opposite the shops. The N4 amenities block will be closed for the duration of the works. Alternative amenities will remain available within approximately 500 metres in either direction: 

UPDATE 19 Oct 26: Due to wet weather, works that were scheduled to commence today have been postponed. A revised commencement date will be confirmed once site conditions are suitable for construction activities.

Location: Boreen Point, Athletic Field - Bike Track Resurfacing Works

Project: Council staff will soon commence Bike Track Resurfacing works on Boreen Point Athletic Field 

Work will include reshaping bike jumps, spreading, compacting and resurfacing track

Work is scheduled to commence on 13 October 2026 with completion expected by 20 October 2026, subject to weather, contractor availability and site conditions.

Location: Nandroya Road, Cooroy

Project: Work to reconstruct damage sustained in early 2025 will start in early to mid-October 2026.

Duration: Reconstruction will take about four months, weather and site conditions permitting.

A road closure will be needed during construction. We’re finalising detour plans and will share these with the community when finalised.

Location: Cooroy Sports Complex Expansion

Project: Construction is scheduled to begin in mid-September 2026 on the expansion and upgrade of the Cooroy Gymnastics Complex, delivering a modern, all-weather, multi-purpose indoor training space for gymnastics and other sporting activities. 

Duration: Construction is scheduled to commence in mid-September 2026, with completion anticipated in late April 2027, subject to weather and construction conditions.

Location: Cooroy Mountain Road

Project: The culvert near Tunba Court on Cooroy Mountain Road was damaged during the weather event in early 2025.

Reconstruction works will start in the coming months to repair the damage.

Noosa Council will be completing annual testing of the sand recycling system on Noosa Main Beach ahead of the upcoming storm season.

Contractors will soon commence service locating works on Swan Street and Wylah Street, Noosaville. The works will involve identifying and inspecting underground services, including drainage and water infrastructure, to better understand existing conditions within the area.

Works are scheduled to take place on Friday, 16 October 2026, with completion expected the same day, subject to weather and site conditions.

Location: Eumundi Noosa Road - Asphalt Reseal Night Works

Contractors will soon commence Asphalt Reseal work on Eumundi Noosa Road. Works will occur on both the northbound and southbound lanes (not simultaneously) between Walter Hay Drive and Eenie Creek Road. Traffic detours and signage will be in place.

Work is scheduled to commence on Sunday, 11th October with completion expected by Monday, 12th October 2026, subject to weather, contractor availability and site conditions.

Location: Quota Park, Gympie Terrace, Noosaville

Project: Noosa Council will begin construction of a new accessible and Changing Places accredited amenities facility at Quota Park, Gympie Terrace, Noosaville in late June. The project responds to strong community feedback from the Noosaville Foreshore Infrastructure Master Plan, which identified the need for additional amenities and improved spacing between facilities along the foreshore. Quota Park was selected as the preferred location due to its accessibility, visibility and minimal impact on open space.

Duration: Construction is anticipated to commence late June 2026, with work expected to finish by November 2026, subject to weather and construction conditions.

Project: Noosa Council would like to provide an update about upcoming reconstruction works on Old Ceylon Road, Ridgewood.

Location: David Low Way - Height and Width Clearance

Contractors will soon commence height and width clearance works on David Low Way. Work will include height and width clearance for bike and live lane. The works will go from Hill Street roundabout to Emu Mountain Road roundabout.

Work is scheduled to commence on Tuesday, 29 September 2026 with completion expected by Friday, 9 October 2026, subject to weather, contractor availability and site conditions. The work will be undertaken during the day between the hours of 6.30am and 6.30pm.

Project: Reconstruction works to stabilise the Sunshine Creek embankment at Sunrise Beach started in March 2026.

Spring Toy Renewal

Project: Contractors will soon commence playground renewal works at RSL Memorial Park. Work will include replacement of the previously removed spring toys. 

Duration:Work is scheduled to commence on Wednesday, 14 October 2026 with completion expected by Friday, 16 October 2026, subject to weather, contractor availability and site conditions.

Location: Hilton Esplanade - Living Foreshore Pilot Project 

Project: Upcoming works along Hilton Esplanade will combine routine foreshore nourishment with a small-scale Foreshore Protection Pilot Project. Sand will be dredged from areas of the Noosa River and placed on selected sections of the foreshore to replenish sand lost through natural coastal processes, including tidal currents, wind waves and boat wake. These routine works help maintain the foreshore and support its ongoing resilience.

Foreshore nourishment works are expected to commence in September 2026.

Location: Doonella Lake Bridge

Project: We're upgrading Doonella Lake Bridge for a safer, stronger connection. Originally constructed in 1968, the bridge plays a critical role in our local transport network, connecting Tewantin and Noosaville and carrying an average of over 20,000 vehicles daily, along with many pedestrians and cyclists. These essential works will improve the bridge’s safety, durability, and accessibility for all road users.

Duration: Set to commence in July 2026, with work expected to finish by early December 2026, subject to weather and construction conditions.

Location: Outlook Drive -Asphalt Reseal Works

Project: Contractors will soon commence asphalt resealing works on Outlook Drive to renew the road surface, improve driving conditions and extend the life of the pavement.
